Google has recently introduced a new feature in their favorite Google Calendar app. Originally, you could only use Google Calendar as your personal journal of what is coming. Google than added features allowing you to share calendars, so you could, for example, let your family or colleagues know what are your plans.
In the event box that pops up, click Appointment slots. Enter the details, including a title, such as “Professor Professor Name Office Hours”. By default, your own personal Ryerson Google calendar is selected. Booked appointment slots appear right on your personal calendar as regular events. The Apps User Group website connects and assists schools in the use of Google Apps for Education. The site contains resources for implementing and using Google Apps, news from the Google blogs. Reserve an appointment slot Click the link for the appointments page. You can find the link in an email, message, or calendar event that’s been shared with you. Click an available appointment slot.
Appointment slots are only available to schools or universities who are using G Suite for Education. The slots must be created with a G Suite account, however any Google account can be used to book them.
